St. Catherine's is open for all children.

We know that parents and families have had lots of questions about the reopening of school. At St Catherine’s, our leaders have used the Government Guidance to develop an action plan and carry out a risk assessment. This can be found below.

Things are very similar to the September reopening for schools. Children need to wear school uniform except on PE days and need to bring at little as possible to school.

School meals will operate as usual with Key Stage 1 children eating in the hall in shifts and Key Stage 2 children eating in their classrooms. Children entitled to both Universal Free School Meals and Benefits Driven Free School Meals will be able to order them as usual.

Your child needs to bring a filled water bottle to school each day.

Remote Learning

Following current Government Guidance about Remote Education, when necessary, St. Catheirne's provides between 3 and 5 hours of learning for pupils each day using DB Primary, which is our learning platform. This will follow broadly the same curriculm as children would usually be accessing at home, with modifications for subjects which would usually need practical apparatus.

Your child will have thier login for DB Primary and for all other websites which we use to set learning. If this isn't the case for any reason, then please contact your child's class teacher.

Additionally, in the case of bubble closure (when the teacher is well) or full lockdown, children will be able to access some live sessions via Microsoft Teams. Again, your child should have thier login for this.

Please see below for further information regarding Remote Education Provision at St. Catherine's:

For further information regarding safeguarding during this time, please see our Covid Annex on our policies page.
