Visitors and Volunteers
At St. Catherine's, we welcome visitors to our school and those who would like to volunteer to help support the education of our children. However, it is our duty to safeguard our children and as such there is a proceedure which visitors and volunteers must be a part of if they would like to become a part of our school community.
All visitors will be asked to read a simplified version of our safeguarding proceedures. You will be asked to wear a red lanyard and you wil need to be with a staff member at all times.
If you would like to volunteer at St. Catherine's, we will ask you to complete an application form. We will use the information you provide to seek references and will also ask you to complete an Enhanced DBS disclosure which the school will be happy to pay for. Should you have lived or worked abroad in the past, we will also need to seek reassurance from those countries that you have a clear record there as well. When these checks have been completed, you will need to meet with a member of our Senior Leadership Team and undertake basic safeguarding training. Finally, there is a Code of Conduct which we will ask you to sign.
If you would like to volunteer at St. Catherine's, please contact the school office ot find out about current opportunities at school.
